The creative question
How can a single product reference become a connected set of campaign images? This independent study starts with the green Tom Ford Taormina Orange bottle and follows it through four stages: product, still life, model-led campaign image and film.
The aim of the study is visual continuity. The bottle provides a recognisable object around which the surrounding colour, props and composition can change. Each stage gives the product a different context while remaining part of the same sequence.
Colour and composition
The still life places green glass against a blue, cloud-reflecting surface. Cut blood oranges introduce a contrasting colour and texture, while leaves, flowers and scattered botanicals give the composition detail around its central object.
The diagonal bottle creates a sense of movement within a static frame. Reflections connect the object to the background, and the placement of the fruit balances the composition. These visual props form part of the concept; they are not a verified ingredient statement.
From object to fashion image
The next image brings the product into a model-led composition, with the green bottle held beside the face. The shift changes the scale and emphasis: the product is now part of a fashion image, connected to pose, expression and styling.
The film extends that campaign direction into motion. Viewed together, the stages explain the relationship between product reference, still-life art direction, campaign image and moving image, rather than presenting unrelated outputs.
What the study demonstrates
The resulting portfolio sequence contains a source product view, a styled still life, a model-led campaign image and a short film. It demonstrates an approach to developing a shared visual direction across formats.
This is a creative process case study, not a report on a commissioned campaign or advertising performance. Its value is in the visible progression from the original product reference to the finished imagery and motion.
