The creative question
The SPELL study asks how a clean product reference can become a more sensory beauty campaign image. It begins with a cream-coloured body-lotion bottle, a cork stopper and a simple label, then develops a still-life scene and a short film.
The product’s pale colour and rounded form provide the starting point. The surrounding objects and surfaces introduce additional textures while the bottle remains central to the scene.
Building the still life
The campaign image places the bottle beside a soap bar, dried citrus, peppercorns and a peach slice. A reflective surface brings the sky into the composition and visually connects the objects through their reflections.
The palette moves from cream and warm brown into the peach’s orange colour and the cooler blue background. The props suggest a sensory direction for the image; they are creative elements, not verified claims about the product’s ingredients or formulation.
Texture, scale and movement
The close viewpoint gives the bottle, soap and supporting objects a strong presence. The product label sits within a scene that also draws attention to surface texture, the curve of the bottle and the contrast between smooth and irregular forms.
The silent film develops the scene into animation. Without a soundtrack, the sequence relies on the image itself to communicate movement and hold attention. The video remains connected to the still-life direction through the product and its surrounding composition.
What the study demonstrates
The three-stage sequence includes a clean product reference, a styled campaign image and a silent animated film. It shows how a product-led visual direction can expand across still and moving formats without introducing an unrelated setting.
The project is presented as an independent creative study. It documents the visible concept and its outputs; it does not claim a commissioned launch, a product benefit or an advertising result.
The visual sequence

A clean view establishes the packaging and its proportions.
